November has been quite the month. The combination of global turmoil, my busiest season for client work, my repeated inability to see burnout coming, and holiday craziness has me exhausted. One of the lessons I have to learn over and over again is that balance is a verb, not a noun—it is something we have to constantly watch and adjust our habits to achieve.
If you feel like you’re also juggling too much as a solopreneur, I have a very special free live Q&A I’m running on December 5 with two other amazing freelancers on project management strategies. It’s called Tame the Freelance Circus, and you can find out all about it here.
PS: It’s open enrollment season. If you source your own benefits as a solopreneur, I’ve linked a guide below from Freelancer’s Union on health insurance.
What I’m Reading
Books
I recently finished The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion by Jonathan Haidt. This book has been mentioned in so many other things I've been reading that I had to check it out for myself. A very interesting look at everything from sociology to anthropology to biology to explain the different moral matrices that guide our thinking.
