The Rundown - July 2022
Ah, July…I don’t know about you, but this summer has FLOWN by. Here in Colorado, everything is in full bloom, and my garden is growing faster than I can keep up with it. This month we’ve focused on rest, and I hope you’ve found time to TAKE the rest you need. Here’s your monthly rundown for July.
What I’m Reading
Books
I’m always reading at least one nonfiction book and one fiction book (usually multiple of each at the same time). During the summer I try to focus more on fiction and give my mind a vacation from solving problems, getting better at stuff, and making myself a better person.
This summer I’m binging on two authors Ursula K. Le Guin and James Joyce.
Right now I’m in the middle of The Hainish Cycle from Le Guin and Dubliners from Joyce. Both of these authors are epics of not just their time but all time and their work is not only beautiful but has powerful messages for us all. I hope you check them out if you haven’t already.
