With two weeks left before my kiddo starts school, I’m trying to squeeze the most out of the rest of the summer. With the heat wave that is crushing most of the country, that mostly means spending as much time at the pool as we possibly can.
What is your favorite summer activity? Hit reply and lemme know.

What I’m Reading
Books
I’ve loved books my whole life. Being a parent means that I get to revisit all of the books that I loved as a child and read so many other incredible children’s books. There are a few children’s books that have changed my life with messages and lessons that adults need too. To continue our theme of summer fiction, here’s my list of the top three children’s books that every adult should read:
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy: A beautifully illustrated book with simple yet powerful lessons about navigating life.
Hope for the Flowers by Trina Paulus: A story about what happens when you follow the crowd and don’t question what the masses are doing.
Why The Moon Travels by Oein DeBhairduin: This isn’t technically a children’s book, but it is a book of fiction that both children and adults will love. DeBhairduin made this amazing collection of stories from the oral tradition of the Irish Traveller community.
